Emotion Wins:British adventurer Bear Grylls said - Life sometimes becomes a war, I face challenges with positivity, I win
Noted adventurer and TV presenter Bayer Grylls has said that he was hurt 25 years ago during an adventure, for which he is still undergoing treatment. On social media, he told, "Fans often ask if it still hurts, my answer is - everyday and unbearable."
Grylls, the presenter of the popular TV show Man Versus Wild, has also made Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar a guest on his show. In the post, Grylls is telling how he beats this pain every day…
Bearing pain every day for 25 years, but do not give
up, says Bayer Grylls, 'The thing is about 1996. At that time, I went to attend a skydiving event in Zambia. Unfortunately the parachute did not open and I had to make a dangerous landing on my back. This led to a fracture in the spine bone. Physiotherapy and all treatment went on throughout the year. But the pain still continues.
At that time, I was 21 years old. Today I am 46 years old. I fight this unbearable pain every day. To overcome this, I take ice treatment, which is very painful. But it is necessary to keep the body and mind strong.
For everyone, life sometimes becomes like war and people fight this battle with thrill. I am also one of them. By collecting all the positives, I face this challenge and win. I am thankful that I have got a chance to live a best life.
Due to strong will, I had conquered Mount Everest two years after the injury. At that time, I had become the youngest British man to climb this mountain. I never felt scared because these incidents happened fast in life, but they did not last long.
I managed to overcome all of this. During the shooting of the 'Animals on the Loose' series, I saw death very closely. Looking back in life, it seems that on some occasions I had lost my life. But I am lucky to have survived every time.
Fans say that seeing them gives me inspiration to struggle. A fan wrote that he had a herniated disc, was in severe pain, but seeing my positivity helps him. Another follower said that you are a true inspiration. Stay strong for the kind of adventure you want to do. '
